1. Audible

I need things to keep my brain active and off the subject of my life.

2. Pushover

This goes mostly with IFTTT. I can set up alerts such as the Full Moon. When I get an email that is “Important” according to Gmail (be sure to teach Gmail what isn’t important).

3. iOS apps Mail/Messages/Calendar/Reminders/Safari

I nearly live in these basic iOS apps.

Mail I have set up to sync with Gmail.

Calendar syncs with Google Calendar and the calendar on my Laptop.

Same with Reminders though I do have IFTTT set up to sync it with Remember the Milk.

4. Twitter

This is my communication method lots of time. I keep up with more friends here than I do Facebook.

5. Foursquare

If I ever go missing the cops can easily find where the last place I was.

6. IFTTT

I hate repetitive tasks, but I LOVE to keep archives. This does that and automates a few things for me.

7. Starbucks

I had been using this app quite a bit. I was addicted to my Carmel Apple Spice even though it doesn’t agree with my stomach. Apples have given me problems for years.

8. Mobile Banking app

This is how I usally check my bank account. I actually interact with my bank more this way than any other way.

9. Google+

I’m using this more than any other social site for promoting my iBooks.

11. Timehop

I like this app for seeing what was going on in my life on this day for previous years.

12. Waze

I travel a lot and don’t know where I’m going. So I find out what’s nearby by using the search embeded in Waze. Plus they know traffic because of the real time traffic updates from other users in the area.

13. Kindle

I love to read. However, moving with a large library every 3 to 6 months is prohibitive. So I have a Kindle, a Kindle app on my phone and a Kindle app on my iPad. I have my whole library down to about 3 lbs. A lot easier to pack up and move.

Alt Appreciation #PriestWeek

I’ve been slacking on doing my last alt class. My baby priest is one I enjoyed in Cataclysm. I just haven’t found enough time to play her to my liking. She’s on the 3000 valor points portion of the quest for her legendary cloak.

iTunes – Books – Hearthstone by Tanya Book

New Book published on the iBook store. This covers the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft collectable card game by Blizzard Entertainment.

Note the World of Warcraft book is now offline pending some corrections.

Alt Appreciation #PaladinWeek

Still catching up with Alt Appreciation. This week is Paladins. My new main alt is my Paladin. Like I’ve said in previous posts my main stays the same, but my main alt rotates.

Holybook started as a dranaei, but I was wanting to change her to human so I did when there was a sale on it. She’s Holy/Prot. Much better geared as Holy though. Prot is for dailies.

Booktrey is still leveling. She’s my highest level horde. She is my primary way of seeing Horde storyline. As you might can tell from the shield she’s Prot as well. I really don’t care for Retribution on a paladin. I can do it. Got pretty decent with CLCret, but still don’t like the play style.

Daily Journal: May the odds ever be in your favor

So another Darkmoon Faire has come and gone… No Darkmoon Eye, no Moon Moon, no Darkmoon Rabbit. Well, I’ve only caught the Darkmoon Rabbit raid ONCE.

I got an add on called Rarity. Tries to tell you if you are Lucky or Unlucky based on number of tries you’ve tried to get a pet or mount. It’s showing my Moon Moon attempts as 2 and the chance for him to drop as 1 in 17. Lucky if you get in less than 11 tries. I need to hang out more on Darkmoon Isle to get more kills in.

The Darkmoon Eye is a 1 in 50 chance. I’ve done 9 attempts since installing the add on. Lucky if you get it in under 34 attempts.

Alt Appreciation #MonkWeek

The new kid on the Alt block.

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3826/10766510393_0138d21608.jpgShubook, she’s still leveling, but she’s in her 80’s. Shu is Mandarin for Book (at least according to the online translator). So she’s sort of Book Book. I really like the class design philosophy. It’s like Rogue 2.0.

Daily Journal: Day 9 book still not approved

Day 9 and the Hearthstone book is still not approved in the iBooks store. Yes, I’m not patient at waiting.

I did the Celestial Tournament pet battle again today. I got my 2nd pet. Chi-Chi. I think I may get the ox next.

Alt Appreciation #MageWeek

Continuing with Alt Appreciation. This is a class I’ve had trouble leveling. Mage.

Magebook is currently level 50 and the lowest of my “try one of each class” experiment. I started her before they fixed the level 1-10 mana regeneration. When you could not even kill one mob before it killing you because 2 spells and your mana bar was empty. Needless to say I hated the class. It gets better as you get higher level, but I still can’t make myself level her because of the early mental block.
