1. Audible

I need things to keep my brain active and off the subject of my life.

2. Pushover

This goes mostly with IFTTT. I can set up alerts such as the Full Moon. When I get an email that is “Important” according to Gmail (be sure to teach Gmail what isn’t important).

3. iOS apps Mail/Messages/Calendar/Reminders/Safari

I nearly live in these basic iOS apps.

Mail I have set up to sync with Gmail.

Calendar syncs with Google Calendar and the calendar on my Laptop.

Same with Reminders though I do have IFTTT set up to sync it with Remember the Milk.

4. Twitter

This is my communication method lots of time. I keep up with more friends here than I do Facebook.

5. Foursquare

If I ever go missing the cops can easily find where the last place I was.

6. IFTTT

I hate repetitive tasks, but I LOVE to keep archives. This does that and automates a few things for me.

7. Starbucks

I had been using this app quite a bit. I was addicted to my Carmel Apple Spice even though it doesn’t agree with my stomach. Apples have given me problems for years.

8. Mobile Banking app

This is how I usally check my bank account. I actually interact with my bank more this way than any other way.

9. Google+

I’m using this more than any other social site for promoting my iBooks.

11. Timehop

I like this app for seeing what was going on in my life on this day for previous years.

12. Waze

I travel a lot and don’t know where I’m going. So I find out what’s nearby by using the search embeded in Waze. Plus they know traffic because of the real time traffic updates from other users in the area.

13. Kindle

I love to read. However, moving with a large library every 3 to 6 months is prohibitive. So I have a Kindle, a Kindle app on my phone and a Kindle app on my iPad. I have my whole library down to about 3 lbs. A lot easier to pack up and move.

Daily Journal: Day 19 I heard something back on the Hearthstone book

Day 19 since I submitted the Hearthstone book. I heard back from them today. Apparently they objected to the word “Free” in the title. Both on the cover and in the title. Never mind my World of Warcraft book has it in both places and is approved and sitting on the iTunes bookstore. The World of Warcraft book update is still pending at Day 19. SWTOR Trooper book resubmission is still pending as well.

Corrections have been made to the Hearthstone book and it has been resubmitted already. Hopefully it doesn’t take nearly a month again for approval.

Daily Journal: Day 10, No approval email yet & we did Thanksgiving a day early

Not that I really should expect the books to be posted this week, but I’ve started so now I’m keeping count. Day 10, iBooks not yet posted. Looks like the World of Warcraft book was downloaded 5 times yesterday. So yay for activity.

Had Thanksgiving at a friend’s house. Did a lot of the kitchen prep work. Hey, I can wield a knife just fine. I just can’t cook. Anyway I’m getting sleepy and it’s not even midnight yet. Dang turkey.

On the pet battles book I’m writing. I’ve got through the Pandaria trainers pasted into the book. Still need to work on Beasts of Fable & The Celestial Tournament. And layout. But I got a bit of work done last night. Today I’ve been cleaning out my RSS feed reader. I’m about a week and a half behind there.

I’ve changed my theme on the blog to a Christmasy one to hopefully put me in the mood for it.  I’m hopefully going to try to do the NaBloPoMo into December. Try for a post a day.

Daily Journal: Day 9 book still not approved

Day 9 and the Hearthstone book is still not approved in the iBooks store. Yes, I’m not patient at waiting.

I did the Celestial Tournament pet battle again today. I got my 2nd pet. Chi-Chi. I think I may get the ox next.

If you look at the screenshot, you’ll see the book’s I currently have submitted for approval. There’s an update in review for the World of Warcraft guide, but it is currently available in the 1.0 version. The Hearthstone book is Unavailable pending review because it is a first submission. The SWTOR: Trooper book is an old one I wrote after the Jedi Knight, Smuggler & Jedi Consular books. It was rejected because of some formatting issues. I resubmitted it recently as I think the iBooks Author updates have fixed the issue that was causing the rejection. Anyway I keep checking and keep checking. So far not approved. I had to look back at my texts to a friend submitted the Hearthstone book on 11/18/2013, so today is Day 5 without approval. I want to say I submitted the edits the same day.

Today I’ve been working on the Pet Battles book. Hope to have it down to just needing formatting here soon. I’m currently working on the Pet Tamer NPCs .

Daily Journal: Working on Hearthstone book edits

Saw the new Thor movie today. I saw the Dark Elves in Greenwich and my thought was CYBERMEN!

Got beta reader comments back on the Hearthstone book. I’m working on polishing up a few things. The thing is the game is still in Beta testing so things will change. And one of the people I had beta reading the book hasn’t played the game. So hopefully it made sense.
