Working more on the Alt Appreciation. This time it’s the Hunters.
Hunterbook my newest level 90. She makes #8.
Huntingbook my level 16 goblin hunter on Earthen Ring. She doesn’t get played very much.
Huntingbook who’s level 12 on Trollbane server. One evening friends & I decided to see the Horde ending of the Panda starting zone since we were complaining the Horde appeared more sympathetic in the Panda start zone. As my friend declared “Garrosh is a dick.” Varian at least is kinda friendly and “can you knock me down?” Garrosh is “go fight these huge creatures to prove your worth.”
Ok so apparently I mistimed the Alt Appreciation Rogue Week article and the dates is now active for Shaman Week. Just like with the rogues I”m keeping these all in the above level 10 to really consider an alt. Others are characters I toyed with.
Shammybook is my seventh and newest level 90. She just this week (with a bunch of luck) she got geared enough for Siege of Orgimmar LFR. I really should throw in some cheaper gems and enchants for her.
Another shaman is a level 29 goblin on my horde server Thorium Brotherhood. Bookototems. I like the totems the goblin shaman have with the mechanical drill bits. I just don’t seem to get much time on my horde character what with keeping up with 7 level 90s (5 of whom are geared enough for Siege of Orgimmar LFR).
This one is a level 25 on Burning Blade also named Bookototems. Yes, a PvP server. A friend of mine was going to go to that server and go Horde and I was convinced I’d level a shaman and play that over there with him. This was in the days before Cross Realm zones so lower level zones were empty… I don’t even think she has ever had a pvp related death. But anyway she qualifies as an alt. These days if I was going to level a toon to play on a Pvp server I’d level a normal server and faction transfer.
I internally applied as a raider with my guild. This is what happened the first raid day after applying. Did decent on the fight. My dps is a little low, but that will come with gear improvement and better fights to show off what I can do.
Note that upon joining a different guild, your Guild reputation is knocked down a level – if you had reached Exalted with your previous Guild, you will drop to Revered with your new Guild.

Didn’t realize this. So I was excited when I joined my new guild only to find myself at Revered. Such a nice treat.
Usually when I start something I jump in with both feet, this has held true with World of Warcraft as well. I started less than a month ago and I already have a character up to level 23. I have friends trying not to overwhelm me with everything, but they occasionally do. (They have been in since WoW was in Beta.)
But I get lots of help. One of my friends gave me gold to start out with. That allowed me to pay for training without worrying about the cost of training. Also someone from my guild sent me lots of Linen, Wool, Silk, Mageweave & Runecloth as well as the Books to scale up on bandage making. My first aid went from Journeyman to Expert and beyond with just these materials. Plus I learned Silk Bandages and Heavy Silk Bandages from the Books I was went.
Random people walk by and cast fortitude on me.
I picked a Human Rogue to begin with and luckily I was able to snag the name Book. Everyone asks me how I got the name on the crowded Earthen Ring server. I just tried it and got it. I was lucky.
I picked Rogue because I was told it was an easier one to level up. I basically want to be high enough leveled to play with my friends.
I may journal some about my experiences leveling and getting through on up in WoW. Maybe I’ll show off some of the places I have found.
So if you’re not interested in World of Warcraft be prepared to be bored until this obsession passes and I move on to another one.
