This is kinda my wish list for Book. Although I’m sure it could be helpful reference for an Assassination rogue. I did leave out Tier 11 Heroic modes items. And what does the corset image have to do with anything you ask? Nothing Nothing at all.

Avengers of Hyjal Reputation gear (only in Firelands raid)

Valor Points items (which you can now max out with 7 runs a week through the troll dungeons)
Firelands dalies
Honor Gear
  • Vicious Gladiator’s Shiv – 950 honor while this seems cheap, you can’t purchase it until you’ve earned 7250 honor total this season
Fireland Raid Drops

Discovering WoW Addons

While I’m not the uber-mod person like some of my friends, I have a few I’ve discovered that I like.

1. Cartographer – There was one thing missing from basic default WoW. Map coordinates. I can read a map. I can read a map well. But I would get halfway across the region only to find out I ran the wrong way. This was the first addon I wanted.

Auctioneer Menu

Auctioneer22. Auctioneer – This was my second addon. Lethann uses it. Mainly she uses it for the Auto Vend feature, but I was selling quite a bit on the auction house and was manually tracking it. It takes a bit of time to set it up and longer to learn to work it, but if you Auction frequently this is something you need. And I’ve made a bit of gold on the auction house. I’m so low leveled right now I just have gathering professions. But it shows you thing in colors Red for selling high. Yellow for good markup. Green for average price. Blue for really underpriced. Now I’m not really buying off the auction house. I’m just selling, but if an herb I have is mostly blue I’ll hang on to it for 2-3 days until the prices on them start climbing. Also I’m using it for items that I find in my travels. Who knew that you needed the crispy spider legs for cooking? Well Auctioneer will tell me that when I hover over an item. Also it will tell me the price a vendor will pay for an item. If I’m questing and I can’t use either item that is offered as a quest reward and they are Soulbound, I can see what a vendor will pay for the item. That way I can take the quest reward that brings the highest return from the vendors. Yes it may be just  a few copper, but a few copper is a few copper.

3. TomTomFu – Little GPS like arrow. It shows you where you need to go.

Upon Entering WoW

World of Warcraft
Image via Wikipedia

Usually when I start something I jump in with both feet, this has held true with World of Warcraft as well. I started less than a month ago and I already have a character up to level 23. I have friends trying not to overwhelm me with everything, but they occasionally do. (They have been in since WoW was in Beta.)

But I get lots of help. One of my friends gave me gold to start out with. That allowed me to pay for training without worrying about the cost of training. Also someone from my guild sent me lots of Linen, Wool, Silk, Mageweave & Runecloth as well as the Books to scale up on bandage making. My first aid went from Journeyman to Expert and beyond with just these materials. Plus I learned Silk Bandages and Heavy Silk Bandages from the Books I was went.

Random people walk by and cast fortitude on me.

I picked a Human Rogue to begin with and luckily I was able to snag the name Book. Everyone asks me how I got the name on the crowded Earthen Ring server. I just tried it and got it. I was lucky.

I picked Rogue because I was told it was an easier one to level up. I basically want to be high enough leveled to play with my friends.

I may journal some about my experiences leveling and getting through on up in WoW. Maybe I’ll show off some of the places I have found.

So if you’re not interested in World of Warcraft be prepared to be bored until this obsession passes and I move on to another one.
