Daily Journal: I don’t wait patiently

If you look at the screenshot, you’ll see the book’s I currently have submitted for approval. There’s an update in review for the World of Warcraft guide, but it is currently available in the 1.0 version. The Hearthstone book is Unavailable pending review because it is a first submission. The SWTOR: Trooper book is an old one I wrote after the Jedi Knight, Smuggler & Jedi Consular books. It was rejected because of some formatting issues. I resubmitted it recently as I think the iBooks Author updates have fixed the issue that was causing the rejection. Anyway I keep checking and keep checking. So far not approved. I had to look back at my texts to a friend submitted the Hearthstone book on 11/18/2013, so today is Day 5 without approval. I want to say I submitted the edits the same day.

Today I’ve been working on the Pet Battles book. Hope to have it down to just needing formatting here soon. I’m currently working on the Pet Tamer NPCs .

Alt Appreciation #WarriorWeek

As Alt Appreciation wraps up, I give you the class that everyone who knows me thinks I will love.

Let me introduce you to my second every character. Yes, my second. Level 56 Tatianaseray. But I have 7 at level 90 you say, how can my second ever character be level 56? Well I didn’t like how often she died. She was my first bank alt before Bankbook. Also notice she has part of my SCA name, Tatiana Seraya Mikhailovna. She is my only non-book alt that I might play.

There is one other… On my horde server, I have the level 18 Smashbook. I kinda thought of her as redneck white trash like most goblins.

Alt Appreciation #WarlockWeek

Continuing with the Alt Appreciation run… This week it’s Warlocks. So to celebrate the purple, I only have one alt to show you.

Her original name was Booktoo. She was my third level 80. My third level 85. My fifth level 90. At level 85 I was a little tired of her having the name Booktoo and changed her name to Bookocurses.

Alt Appreciation #ShamanWeek

Ok so apparently I mistimed the Alt Appreciation Rogue Week article and the dates is now active for Shaman Week. Just like with the rogues I”m keeping these all in the above level 10 to really consider an alt. Others are characters I toyed with.

Shammybook is my seventh and newest level 90. She just this week (with a bunch of luck) she got geared enough for Siege of Orgimmar LFR. I really should throw in some cheaper gems and enchants for her.

Another shaman is a level 29 goblin on my horde server Thorium Brotherhood. Bookototems. I like the totems the goblin shaman have with the mechanical drill bits. I just don’t seem to get much time on my horde character what with keeping up with 7 level 90s (5 of whom are geared enough for Siege of Orgimmar LFR).

BookototemsThis one is a level 25 on Burning Blade also named Bookototems. Yes, a PvP server. A friend of mine was going to go to that server and go Horde and I was convinced I’d level a shaman and play that over there with him. This was in the days before Cross Realm zones so lower level zones were empty… I don’t even think she has ever had a pvp related death. But anyway she qualifies as an alt. These days if I was going to level a toon to play on a Pvp server I’d level a normal server and faction transfer.

On Book’s Pet Battle Teams

A friend is leveling her pet battle teams & has her first 3 level 25 battle pets. This is a list of the pets I use on my Pet battle teams. All these are ones I use daily for one of the Pandaren Pet Trainers, Pandaren Spirit Tamers, or the Beasts of Fable dailies. All are level 25 & blue quality.

  • Celestial Dragon
  • Kun-Lai Runt
  • Plains Monitor
  • Electrified Razortooth
  • Wanderer’s Festival Hatchling
  • Adder
  • Darkmoon Zepplin
  • Forest Moth
  • Scourged Whelping
  • Alpine Fox Kit
  • Bat
  • Amber Moth
  • Rapana Whelk
  • Cogblade Raptor
  • Anodized Robo Cub
  • Unborn Val’kyr
  • Restless Shadling
  • Effervescent Glowfly
  • Shimmering Wyrmling
  • Jungle Darter
Your mileage may vary on these pets, but these have worked for me.

Daily Journal: Watched a movie

Byword (iPad)

Byword (iPad) (Photo credit: Frank Hamm)

So.. 4 times last week and twice so far this week. Tempest Keep hasn’t dropped a single pet. Starting to doubt I’ll see one. Wowhead is having issues so I can’t check other’s drop rates. I need to start hunting for an Unborn Val’kyr I’ve got a spare Undead stone to upgrade it once I catch one so it can even be poor and I’d take it. I just have to find the blasted thing.

Been trying to get Byword to publish to my blog. I’ve purchased the Premium edition, set up Evernote & WordPress, but it still fails at publishing. I’ve emailed support. I’ve tried re setting up the blog/evernote accounts to no avail. Oh well, we’ll see.

Went to see Star Trek Into Darkness. Loved it. Didn’t love the migraine & nausea after though. Had to drug myself to get rid of it. Which has made me very sleepy today.

Daily Journal: Raiding again

Got my Birchbox in. New things to play with.

Raiding again today. Got my dagger off my coin for my Megera kill! Heroic Jin’rokh the Breaker. Then we also worked on Heroic Ji’kun. Seemed like my group was keeping it together pretty well.  Got 3 LFRs in after the raid. Nothing I needed out of there. Ran Kara & got my last pet out of there for Raiding for Leashes II:  Attunement Edition. Ran Tempest Keep. Still no pets out of there. I’m wondering if it is bugged… Literally last week I ran TK 4 times and nothing dropped. First run this week, nothing…. So 5 total runs and I’ve seen NOTHING from 3 separate bosses. I’ve still got to run the healers through, but TK isn’t like Kara. Kara was designed for 10 people to run it. TK was for 25 people. The healers are geared for hps, not dps, but they do have a dps spec (well except for the Pally who gets things done in a tank spec and actually leveled as a tank).

Blizzard Favors Horde: Locked Throne of Thunder Entrance

Locked Throne of Thunder entrance. The Horde had a much shorter run to the VP vendors and the Treasure room scenario NPC and the raid entrance than Alliance had.

Blizzard Favors Alliance: Pandaria starting zone

Starting a new blog series. Why Blizz favors the Horde/Alliance. For the first one we have the Starting areas of Panderia. Several people as soon as they got off the boat wanted to get past Jade Forest into Valley of the Four Winds & the cooking trainers in Half-Hill. The Alliance definitely had the shorter run there.

Ahead of the Curve

I internally applied as a raider with my guild. This is what happened the first raid day after applying. Did decent on the fight. My dps is a little low, but that will come with gear improvement and better fights to show off what I can do.
